Recognize and celebrate big efforts to create motivation for those efforts to continue.

How

For an individual learner, determine what are low, medium, and big eff ort tasks or instructions. Create a clear plan for providing corresponding sizes of rewards.

Context

This strategy is best for individual learners who have a particular task or instruction that is frequently challenging for them. That way, when they do engage in this skill, we will be prepared to recognize and celebrate them!

Tip

Encourage all teachers who support this learner to follow this same structured reward plan, as consistency is key!
