Use the “Choice Mapping Template” in our Resources to walk through a scenario relevant to your learner—one where they sometimes engage in expected behaviors and sometimes in challenging behaviors. Fill in the squares together while discussing each path and its outcome. Some learners may need extrinsic motivators, while others respond well to intrinsic ones like maintaining friendships.
