Involve the learner in setting clear expectations and selecting rewards. Build independence by prompting them to review the contract and track progress toward their goals.

Context

Use at home or school. Some learners may benefit from separate contracts for each setting. Ideal for those with ongoing behavior, organization, or task completion challenges.

Instructions

1. Print or use the template as a guide.
2. Define the target behaviors/skills.
3. Collaborate (teacher, parent, learner) to set expectations and rewards.
4. Have all parties agree and sign.
5. Encourage the learner to self-review daily or weekly to see if they earned the reward.
