Goal

Teach the versatility of communication.

How

Your turn! Choose one activity each day to focus on modeling the full range of communication (i.e. requests, comments, rejections, emotions, etc) within that activity. During this activity, model using AAC for all ofyour communication. We want to teach that language can make their favorite activities even more fun!

Context

Use this strategy for learners who are already attending to your use of AAC and possibly already responding or requesting with AAC. During this phase, you are modeling, and there is no communication expectationfrom them.

Tip

When choosing what language to model, prioritize using core words. Aim for 80/20 (80% core, 20% fringe).
